Hi, Everyone! Hope this finds you safe and well!!!
Well, I never thought much (before) about going outside among folks or about cleansing everything that we bring into the house — but, of course, that was BEFORE!!! And, although I’m very excited to think about Philly going into the “yellow” phase, I’m still kind of apprehensive.
It’s not a time to throw caution to the wind, since there are continuing to be new cases of COVID-19, so we are still going to continue the precautions that we instituted a while ago — for “distance buying”:
Here, again, are the things we are doing to keep you and your food safe:
–We continue to disinfect constantly and place all orders in separate sanitized coolers.
–We will have your invoice with your order, identified on your cooler, with no need to touch other people’s food (or have them touch yours.)
–All you need to do is place your check between our doors (made out to Nancy Price.) If possible, do not pay in cash. That’s it! Thanks!
PLEASE NOTE: If you need to pay with PayPal, PLEASE make sure to pay as a “friend” NOT AS A “PURCHASE” to avoid fees for you and us. Payment must be received before you pick up your order. Be watching for us to email your invoice as soon as we pack the orders. Thank you for your patience during this process.
Help us get the word out to your family, friends and neighbors about “distance shopping” for the healthiest foods that come to Philly. Let me know if you’d like some post cards, and I’ll put a few in with your order. Or, give me their email addresses, and I’ll send all the information electronically.
NEWS OF ALL SORTS:
- Dairy– All raw milk items, including a2a2 raw milk and milk products and more raw cheeses are available while Candice is able to go out to the farms.
This time, we are offering a goat cheese, and the colby cheese that we offered before (my favorite!) Make sure to check out the list!
- Organic Veggie Boxes– Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is still offering a less expensive “share” during the “distancing situation,” consisting of 8 varieties of veggies (all organic) to be picked up on Friday before farm day. You will be charged for the box with the rest of your order, unless you’e only ordered a Veggie Box. See the Veggie Box attachment.
- Whole Chickens– We have a few whole chickens left (frozen, of course) for this order. they are 3-4 lbs. each. Make sure to stock up! It will be on a 1st come-1st served basis.
- Changingmeat offerings – As with paper products during the pandemic, grocery store meats are flying out of the meat section. Therefore, more and more customers are turning to the small farms and emptying their freezers. We will try our best, as usual, to bring to you everything you order, but please bear with us during this inordinate time. Thanks!
Chicken parts will increase by end of June. And, there is a little Bison this time.
But, we do have bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (although in small supply — 1st come; 1st served — for this order.
Always ask questions by email or phone (215) 842-2662 to be sure you’re ordering exactly what you want. This order is due by Monday, June 1st. The order pick-up will be Saturday, June 6th.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next delivery from ALL of the farms, even if it’s just a wave out my window! Until then, be well, have hope, and love one another! This pandemic won’t last forever, even though if feels like it will. Find positive ways to spend your every day, and pray for all those who have been affected by it. Volunteer where you feel you can!
REMEMBER: Continue to wash your hands often and wear a face mask! Be safe! Be well!
In peace,
Candice and Nancy Price

Remember, buying from Family Farms that feed and pasture their animals properly and treat them humanely is not only better food for the health of you and your family, it’s also supporting those farms to help them flourish. It also sends a BIG message to the factory farm industry, that they don’t rule over our health and we won’t support their practices. IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO! SPREAD THE WORD!!! Support Family Farms!!!
