Good Morning, Everyone!

I’m getting excited for the Summer season to arrive. And, this year there’ll be lots of places to go and enjoy the warm weather. With restrictions being lifted (although we can’t let down our guard) it feels like a “new lease on life! Of course, we need to brave it and get the vaccines, for ourselves and everyone else.

Candice and I have been lucky to get our shots.

This order will be delivered just before Memorial Day. So, please plan to bar-b-que with the best chicken, beef and pork money can buy! And, of course, I’ll be sending recipes this Sunday!

There’s some right-on-time news below. Check out the latest:

For this order, Whole Chickens, Boneless, Skinless Breasts and Bone-In, Skin-On Thighs are being offered at a reduced price.

3.   GOAT MILK IS BACK!!!

The long wait is over! Mama Goat, Jezzabelle, has had her twins, and she’s sharing her milk with us once again. YAY!!! I love it! By the way, the little “kids” 🙂 at the farm have named them Geo & Millie. So sweet!

4.  PORK SAUSAGES ARE PLENTIFUL AGAIN:

Make sure to see the current, much larger list of sausage choices — Loose, Grillers, and Breakfast varieties!

5.   VEGGIE BOXES:

Veggie Boxes continue to be available for now. There is usually an 8 item assortment in each box, and the produce changes as the seasons go along.

           NOTE: To order a veggie box, just write your request in

           the body of your email. See below for the details! **

We continue to offer exceptional meats of all sorts, and delicious raw milk dairy selections, like butter, cottage cheese, yogurt and sour cream made from fresh raw milk. The milk from the A2A2 cows is our favorite! Look for it under dairy “A2A2” shaded in light green. Quantities may vary, but we will try to get whatever you desire.

Our “distance buying” procedures will continue for the foreseeable future, and we will continue to exercise them for the safety of everyone.

** Description for Veggie Boxes from the farm:

“Your share (of veggies) could include a mix of some of the following items: arugula, beets, cabbage, carrots, chard, collards, kales, mixed lettuce, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, spinach, sweet potatoes, and turnips — whatever is in season!

We proudly source produce from our member farmers in Lancaster, PA. We occasionally source veggies from other local and regional partners who also strive to provide the best organic produce available.

Our farmers are proud of the quality produce they grow, and each crop’s health and vitality is taken into consideration as they plan and refine their cultivation techniques season after season, year after year.”

Here are the particulars to know: “The boxes would have a mix of 8 produce items (could include things like:1/2 lb. spinach, several beets, baby greens, etc.) and are $28.00/box + $4.20 delivery fee. The boxes would be prepacked and ready to go.”

Avoid a trip to the crowded produce market/farmers’ market! You would pick up your box on Friday afternoon, while they’re REALLY FRESH! The other Persnickety Protein items would be picked up on Saturday afternoon as usual.
