Good Morning, Everybody! 

As we head into Memorial Day Weekend, I hope you are all excited to get together in your small family group for the outdoor activities. And, I hope you’re exercising caution for a while longer, until everyone gets their vaccines. It will seem a bit strange to imagine normalcy after the year+ we’ve had, but don’t let it throw you. Just be safe!

There’s some good news below. So, check out the latest:

         1.   ***SALE!***

We decided to carry over the sale of chicken. For this order, Whole Chickens, Boneless, Skinless Breasts and Bone-In, Skin-On Thighs will continue to be offered at a reduced price.

2.  NEW MEAT ITEMS:

***Beef Broth & Lamb Broth (Quarts) join Chicken Broth

       (the broths have NO seasoning)

***Smoked Sliced “chipped” Ham, Smoked Ham Chunks

3.   GOAT MILK IS BACK!!!

Candice and I have been enjoying the creamy, smooth goat milk that is now available, as long as Jezzabell is lactating for her little twins. Why not try some this time?

4.  PORK SAUSAGES ARE PLENTIFUL AGAIN:

Make sure to see the current, much larger list of pork sausage choices — Loose, Grillers, and Breakfast varieties!

5.   BISON IS BACK:

6.  VEGGIE BOXES:

Veggie Boxes full of Spring-fresh vegetables continue to be available for now. There is usually an 8 item assortment in each box, and the produce changes as the seasons go along.

          NOTE: To order a veggie box, just write your request in the body of your email. See below for the details! **

Our “distance buying” procedures will continue for the foreseeable future, and we will continue to exercise them for the safety of everyone.

** Description for Veggie Boxes from the farm:

“Your share (of veggies) could include a mix of some of the following items: arugula, beets, cabbage, carrots, chard, collards, kales, mixed lettuce, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, spinach, sweet potatoes, and turnips — whatever is in season!

We proudly source produce from our member farmers in Lancaster, PA. We occasionally source veggies from other local and regional partners who also strive to provide the best organic produce available.

Our farmers are proud of the quality produce they grow, and each crop’s health and vitality is taken into consideration as they plan and refine their cultivation techniques season after season, year after year.”

Here are the particulars to know: “The boxes would have a mix of 8 produce items (could include things like:1/2 lb. spinach, several beets, baby greens, etc.) and are $28.00/box + $4.20 delivery fee. The boxes would be prepacked and ready to go.”

Avoid a trip to the crowded produce market/farmers’ market! You would pick up your box on Friday afternoon, while they’re REALLY FRESH! The other Persnickety Protein items would be picked up on Saturday afternoon as usual.
