Welcome back home to those who have been away, and Happy Fall season to All!!!
Our trip on the 18th will be the last one on the “summer schedule.” We are anxious to get back to the “every 3 week schedule” of deliveries now that everyone will be home more, getting back to work and school, and thinking about preparing meals for a busy new season. Our “distance buying” (on the porch) procedures will continue for the foreseeable future, and we will continue to exercise them for the safety of everyone.
Especially if you’ve been away from ordering for part or all of the Summer, here again are things to remember when ordering. I can’t wait for the chilly evenings with bone-warming soups and stews:
1. BONELESS, SKINLESS CHICKEN BREASTS, CHICKEN THIGHS W/BONE & SKIN AND WHOLE CHICKENS:
***SALE for whole chickens with this order only: $4.25/lb. (reg. $4.50/lb.)
***SALE for breasts (boneless/skinless) with this order only: $9.50/lb. (reg. $10.15/lb.)
***SALE for thighs (w/bone & skin) with this order only: $6.75/lb. (reg. $7.25/lb.)

These are all A2A2 milk raw cheeses. Find them at the end of the “green shaded” section of Raw Milk.
A NOTE: We bought the plain jack cheese again last time, and we loved it — very mild and super creamy — M-m-m!
***Spelt Pretzel Bites – For those of you who want to control the type of flour in your pretzels. Look for them at the end of the list, under “Sundries.”

Veggie Boxes full of Spring-fresh vegetables continue to be available for now. There is usually an 8 item assortment in each box, and the produce changes as the seasons go along.
NOTE: To order a veggie box, just write your request in the body of your email. See below for the details! **
We continue to offer exceptional meats of all sorts, and delicious raw milk dairy selections, like butter, cottage cheese, yogurt and sour cream made from fresh raw milk. The milk from the A2A2 cows is our favorite! Look for it under dairy “A2A2” shaded in light green. Quantities may vary, but we will try to get whatever you desire.

** Description for Veggie Boxes from the farm:
“Your share (of veggies) could include a mix of some of the following items: arugula, beets, cabbage, carrots, chard, collards, kales, mixed lettuce, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, spinach, sweet potatoes, and turnips — whatever is in season!
We proudly source produce from our member farmers in Lancaster, PA. We occasionally source veggies from other local and regional partners who also strive to provide the best organic produce available.
Our farmers are proud of the quality produce they grow, and each crop’s health and vitality is taken into consideration as they plan and refine their cultivation techniques season after season, year after year.”
Here are the particulars to know: “The boxes would have a mix of 8 produce items (could include things like:1/2 lb. spinach, several beets, baby greens, etc.) and are $28.00/box + $4.20 delivery fee. The boxes would be prepacked and ready to go.”
Avoid a trip to the crowded produce market/farmers’ market! You would pick up your box on Friday afternoon, while they’re REALLY FRESH! The other Persnickety Protein items would be picked up on Saturday afternoon as usual.
